Kinja'd!!!

So after a week in Nova Scotia, I've emerged well versed in Rondo musings and further educated in how to drive stick!

Let me start by saying that Nova Scotia has some great driving roads. Lots of hilly roads that snake around the terrain. Just wicked. However, there seems to be a lot of potholes and road imperfections, but that made carving through those roads even more fun/challenging.

So, the Rondo, where to start? It was a great car. A car that my wife and I concurred that we would never buy. Why would we come to such a conclusion? The Rondo ate up all of our gear, sat my relatives in good comfort (minus the third row passengers, in which we dubbed the "Rondo Seat") and it was good on gas. Well, it was slow and handled sloppy at highway speeds. My wife hopped in the driver's seat, stomped the pedal to the floor and said "Nope".

I also got some time behind the wheel of a previous gen Jetta, 5M with the 2.5L engine. I have never owned a car in stick, but I relish the chance to get some time behind the wheel and this week was it! How'd it go? Pretty good, I stalled the car several times and spun the tires once lol. But after 15-20 minutes, I had gotten a hang of getting the car moving and after that everything else was easy. I now have greater confidence in operating a manual (I was so excited).

Kinja'd!!!

TL;DR: I Rondo'ed the Jetta.
